What you are agreeing to when you book with us.
Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed on receipt of 20% of the total package price. A confirmation voucher is issued once the advance is received. The balance is due before or on arrival, as agreed in writing at the time of booking.
What the price includes
- Hotels for the nights stated in your itinerary, 3-star or 3-star premium as agreed
- Private vehicle with driver for the full route
- Local guide
- Entry permit and route permit
- Sustainable Development Fee
- Breakfast and dinner on each day stated
What it excludes
- Lunch
- Monument and museum entry fees
- Personal expenses, laundry, telephone, and tips
- Travel to and from the pickup point unless separately agreed
- Anything not listed in your written itinerary
Documents
Indian nationals must carry an original valid passport or Voter ID card. Children require a birth certificate or school identity card with photograph. Aadhaar cards are not accepted by Bhutanese immigration. We cannot be held responsible where entry is refused because a traveller has not carried an accepted document.
Hotels
Hotels are named before payment. Where a named hotel becomes unavailable we will substitute a property of the same or better standard, and will tell you before you travel rather than on arrival.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms depend on the season and on the hotels booked, and are stated in writing with your itinerary before you pay. Amounts already paid to hotels and to the Bhutanese authorities may be non-refundable.
Circumstances beyond our control
Roads in Bhutan close for landslides, snow and repairs, and immigration offices close on public holidays. Where an itinerary must change for safety or for reasons outside our control, we will arrange the nearest reasonable alternative. We cannot accept liability for delay or loss arising from weather, road closures, government decisions, or acts beyond our reasonable control.
Insurance
Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended, particularly for the Taktsang hike.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall to the courts at Alipurduar, West Bengal.
